One of the more unique rappers on the streets, 03 Greedo combines everything from Southern trap to West Coast gangsta rap with funk, stoner rock and emo. He once called his songs “emo music for gangbangers,” and dropped a collaborative EP with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. A prolific writer, his Purple Summer mixtape series in 2016 put him on hip-hop’s radar. His 2018 mixtape, The Wolf of Grape Street, and debut studio album, God Level, further pushed him into the mainstream. When he caught charges the same year and faced 20 years locked up, he completed an insane number of tracks—3,000 total—and kept releasing music until his early release last year. (MW)
