THE other day, I was krumping around the house when I suddenly thought, “You know, I wish there was a place to do this where I could show off my skills, which would allow me to pay some of these bills.” Turns out there’s Battlefest Live 360, which after almost a decade is the longest-running urban dance competition in NorCal. It draws somewhere around 400 dancers every year to the Civic, the best of whom have gone on to shows like So You Think You Can Dance and MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. These crews square off in a 360-degree format that lets the audience see the action from all angles.
