Thanks
I wanted to thank Metro for recognizing all my hard work in the local live music scene and picking me as “Best South Bay Scene Queen” in the Best Of 2010 issue. I was overjoyed when I read what you wrote about me; it was very meaningful, heartwarming and kind. I am honored to have been elected/featured and appreciate the support. I hope to keep seeing your staff at shows, giving props to the bands and promoters that keep the local music scene alive.

Double Thanks
The Joe Sharino Band would like to thank everyone that voted for us for Best Local Band. We appreciate you all so much! We also would like to thank Metro for the very kind description that was written about us. On behalf of Mark Belshaw, Andy Morales, David Petrucci, Jeremiah Jones and Lindsey Floren, we say thank you all so much.

Follow the Money
If you want to find the source of corruption, follow the money (“Laundry Works,” SVNews, Sept. 22). Hope the current DA reads this and remembers the lesson.

Muzzled Media
I am writing that I am horrified that there is a bill going through Congress regarding muzzling and censoring our Internet. This makes us one step away from dictatorship. And if the word doesn’t get out that this is happening, the mass population may never know the truth.

Clueless Meg
When Meg Whitman’s boat rocked over her housekeeper, she called it politics, but she is a politician, dancing a little sidestep, then checking the polls.
Jerry Brown knew where the fat is, and gave a 19th-century clue on what Whitman and Carly Fiorina want to do: cut government jobs and give tax breaks to the rich. When I endorse a candidate I don’t expect them to agree on everything I believe, but to have a clue.
