When constantly faced with rejection, sometimes the best move is to pivot — but to pivot to an entirely different identity? Now that’s something for the stage. Beginning this coming Tuesday, April 19, the tale of struggling actor Michael Dorsey—better known as “Tootsie,” from the 1982 film starring Dustin Hoffman—will take center stage at San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts for an eight-show run.
