.Circus and Dance Combine in Circa’s Leviathan at Memorial Auditorium

The circus is in town, but with a twist. This weekend, the world-acclaimed Circa will perform its latest production, “Leviathan.” The Australian troupe focuses this contemporary performance as a combination of the possibilities of the human body in tandem with its extremes. Through a mixture of contemporary dance, acrobatics and sound, the 70-minute performance shows a collaboration between the artist and the audience while revealing the unpredictability of the private and public human spirit and body. The performance is the work of Yaron Lifschitz, who has directed more than 80 productions of circus, opera and the like for the stage.
