Comedian Katherine Blanford makes jokes about uncomfortable realities with surprising ease. The Louisville native—headlining this week at Rooster T. Feathers for a run of five shows—has found fame on Instagram and TikTok describing her offbeat upbringing and all that transpired in her family line since. Now based in LA, Blanford considers herself a “human Golden Retriever,” whose comedy has been compared to the likes of Jeff Foxworthy, David Spade and Ron White. Her debut album, Salt Daddy, released in June 2022, achieved #1 status on the iTunes Comedy charts.
