This weekend at the Hammer Theatre continues “The Art of Video Game Music,” a series of concerts and events hosted by SJSU. The university’s Symphonic Band (conducted by Dr. Craig McKenzie) presents a matinee of music adapted from game soundtracks—and not just old-school classics. The program includes songs from Cuphead, Minecraft and other contemporary favorites. The concert also features premieres of original compositions inspired by video games. Other shows in the “Art of Video Game Music” series this week at the Hammer include performances by SJSU’s choir, wind ensemble and jazz orchestra. (ESC)
