.Mobetta Brown Launches His Spring Tour Sunday in San Jose

The Levitt Foundation provides funding to make free community concerts possible in underused outdoor spaces throughout the country—from an amphitheater in Alabama to festival grounds in Maryland to St. James Park right here in San Jose. Trumpet extraordinaire Maurice “Mobetta” Brown embodies these ideas of joy and unity with his unique blend of jazz, hip-hop, blues and rock. Often found playing horns onstage next to Anderson .Paak, Brown launches his spring solo tour this Sunday in San Jose. Opening is Melanie Charles, a bold and excitingly progressive voice in contemporary jazz.
