.Rosencrantz and Gildenstern for the Harry Potter Set

It’s difficult to ignore the impact of a certain boy wizard’s exploits over the last two-plus decades. But for playwright Matt Cox and friends, the real question is: “What was everyone in the background doing?” Puffs, which premieres this Friday at Lucie Stern Theatre, focuses on those folks who were there but were never destined to save the world. The New York Times calls the performance “a fast-paced romp” and a “jovial wink” for everyone who grew up with the seven-book series. The play is neither authorized nor endorsed by the HP author or any of its affiliates.
