In the great melting pot that is the Bay Area, inclusivity and diversity are more than just progressive ideas. As proof, look no further than the Peninsula International Dance Festival, now in its second year at San Mateo Performing Arts Center. The fest brings together artists from 21 companies representing 200-plus unique, talented performers. The two performances include traditional work from South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and native dances of the United States. This performance has been carefully curated by its producer Christine Leslie and the Peninsula Ballet Theatre artistic director Gregory Amato, alongside choreographers of international acclaim.
