Bay Area rapper Locksmith is known for his clever wordplay and storytelling skills. One half of the influential ‘00s hip hop group the Frontline, Locksmith has long been a local legend. On recent single “I Don’t Wanna,” he sounds as nimble as ever over a floating backpacker beat. As an artist, his music often speaks on social and political issues, as well as his own personal experiences. At Sushi Confidential, Locksmith will share the stage with coheadliner Jose Santana, who is in a band with his uncle, legendary singer Carlos Santana. Bay Area artists Westside Moe, Kreese, Ice Meez and Hugobands also perform.
