Satirists are few and far between in 2023, which makes David Sedaris all the more cherished. The long-time author and humorist has earned fans throughout the world through his autobiographical and self-deprecating humorous essays, which he will bring to San Jose this Tuesday. Since first finding commercial success with his first collection, Barrel Fever (1994), Sedaris has gone on to release popular collections including Me Talk Pretty One Day, (2000), Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim (2004), and Calypso (2018). His most recent work, Happy-Go-Lucky, was released in May 2022. He reflects on his relationship with his recently deceased father.
