Tradition meets innovation in this dazzling and imaginative production as a reimagined Nutcracker unfolds around 1905 in San Jose. Uncle Nikola (inspired by Nikola Tesla) electrifies the stage with an actual Tesla coil as Clara adventures alongside the nutcracker prince in the Valley of Heart’s Delight, a nostalgic nod to San Jose’s past. The production is immersed in the rich tapestry of Silicon Valley’s cultural heritage with the dynamic Ragazzi Boys Chorus, the vibrant energy of Los Lupeños Juvenil’s Mexican folk dancing and an expansive cast of talented dancers from the New Ballet School and Company.
