Bay area ensemble Wobbly World brings a message of unity to their music. For them, it’s a global perspective. The members hail from Latin America, the US, Asia and the Middle East, each bringing unique life experiences and musical backgrounds to the band, which seems like it might create sonic chaos. Quite the opposite is true. Wobbly World shows the harmony between Son Cubano and Middle Eastern folk music and how traditional Vietnamese instruments can seamlessly comingle with hip-hop. Global unity is possible if everyone realizes how much we all have in common. It’s not a pipe dream to Wobbly World. (AC)
