Stoner rock fans will rejoice, as this night of heavy guitars and heavy pours will surely satisfy. San Francisco’s Bongfather will rattle the walls of San Jose’s favorite bar venue. Their new EP, Kingtide, is equal parts Fu Manchu and vintage Sabbath—a delicious recipe from this killer trio doing the lord’s work. Along for the brutal riff ride are Reptilian Arms, Danuta and Mothers Against The Future. It’s a beautiful thing when high-watt amps line the altar of rock (the Caravan stage/floor) along with drums designed to fill stadium-sized venues. It’s like skydiving on the winds of rock and not recommended for children.
