The 28th annual Monday Night Live is a celebration of local politics in the context of comedic fun and frolic, hosted by Mayor Matt Mahan and featuring many local politicians. It’s a fundraiser for the beloved San Jose Stage company, which has given the community a place for top-notch live theater for decades. It’s an absolute treat every year, and this should be an especially hilarious edition as San Jose teeters on the edge of a dystopian future that even Orwell would be astonished by. As the adage goes, if life gives you lemons, pretend it didn’t and do some light-hearted improv.
