Before embarking on a remarkably successful literary career, Australian novelist Liane Moriarty worked in advertising and marketing. However, she developed book-writing inclinations in the early millennium and pursued a master’s at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Her first novel, Three Wishes, was written as part of her master’s thesis. Since then, she’s written eight other novels and three children’s books. Two of her novels, Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers, became runaway successes and were adapted into television programs for HBO and Hulu, respectively. Throughout her career, Moriarty’s books have sold over 20 million copies.
