One of the saddest things about the passage of time is how much is lost to the faded halls of history, even when well-documented. The ’60s Bay Area hippie movement is no different. Despite literally changing the world with ideas, music, and art, people who were a part of that change are transitioning beyond this realm, which is why it’s so important to have nights like Jerry Garcia Night. The event dives into the life and lore of the icon, taking place only blocks from where the Warlocks (the Dead’s original name) played their first show. Along with live music, the night will also feature clips from the upcoming Garcia musical.
