Born in Kursk, Russia, he made his name eschewing the propaganda-ridden Russian television networks, opting instead to fight in the trenches of clubs and other small venues. Simultaneously, he cultivated an online following, which helped him reach thousands. After opposing the invasion of Ukraine and receiving death threats in his native Russia, he moved to Berlin. With over half a million followers on social media and a new stand-up special, Dan the Stranger is bringing his comedic prowess to the peninsula.
