Ari Shapiro, the NPR cohost of All Things Considered, award-winning journalist, lovely singer, memoirist and frontperson for the eternally cool band Pink Martini, is on tour with a cabaret show based on his recently published memoir. With a career history like that, it will surely be an impressive evening. Thank You for Listening will have songs, storytelling and readings from the memoir The Best Strangers in the World. A one-person cabaret act is not easy, especially with many components.
