Trumpeter and composer Peter Evans formed this group in 2017. They are experimental and fun, with a bucketload of influences and stylistic diversity. They also have an enjoyable light show. The sound is somewhere between experimental jazz and electronica—but accessible. Along with Peter Evans on a very small trumpet, Joel Ross is on vibraphone, Nick Jozwiak’s on bass and synth and Michael Shekwoaga Ode’s on drums. Somehow, it all just works.
