Drummer Blaque Dynamite found a rhythm he couldn’t quit, scoring a spot at the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. There, his profile rose steadily, sharing the stage with the likes of Herbie Hancock. By the time he graduated, Blaque Dynamite was already known as a gifted and versatile drummer, evidenced by his tour with legendary bassist and composer Stanley Clarke. Since then, his reputation has only grown. He’s toured five continents, received a whopping 14 DownBeat Music Awards and collaborated with the likes of Michael McDonald, Thundercat, Willow Smith and Talib Kweli.
