Marin is a bastion of quality used baby gear, and, with a new burbler in the house, I have driven from the hills of Mill Valley to the tract homes of Novato scooping up great Craigslist finds to clothe her. But now, those searching for recycled top-of-the-line items in the nation's wealthiest-per-capita county don't have to comb through online listings from questionable sellers—not, at least, with San Rafael's Outgrown and Fairfax's Yeah Baby!, your reader's picks to tie for best kids consignment shops in Marin.

Both Yeah Baby! and Outgrown have the kinds of brands that Marinites have no problem spending mad bank on, using for two months and then discarding. Burberry for baby? You got it. They've both got a solid policy of only carrying clothes in good shape, and the prices are a burp of fresh air.
