.Chemical Therapy in San Jose

Music in the Park is back, and wow, is this year’s festival launching with a bang, with Alex Lora and El Tri headlining (see last week’s cover story). A legendary rock en español pioneer, Lora has recorded more than 50 albums and written countless politically charged anthems. And joining the bill is opening act Chemical Therapy, an indie rock ensemble whose infectious single “Daddy’s Girl” was just released in March as part of a three-song sampler. Three members of the quartet got their start in South Carolina as the band Heyrocco before moving to Los Angeles.
