The heartwarming and inspirational musical Come From Away tells the true story of what happened when 38 planes carrying 7,000 people from all over the globe were diverted to Gander International Airport after 9/11. The population of Gander, Newfoundland, doubled at that moment and was unequipped for the massive influx of travelers. However, the townsfolk quickly rallied into action, feeding, clothing and housing their fellow brethren during those harrowing and horrific uncertain hours and days ahead. Since 2013, the musical has taken the world by storm from Broadway to London and Australia, and now it lands a four-day, six-performance tour in San Jose, complete with a couple of matinees.
