For Counterpoint, music and dance combine in a dazzling display of artistry. Musician/pianist Conrad Tao and choreographer/dancer Caleb Teicher’s collaboration finds the soul of musical harmony and rhythm through the beating heart of dance, blending two pure art forms into a transcendent mix of imagination, wonder and resonance. It’s also stylistically diverse, featuring musical selections like “Aria” from Bach’s Goldberg Variations, George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, and even atonal composer Arthur Schoenberg’s unconventional take on the Viennese waltz.
