Charcoal artist Julie Grantz unveils her solo exhibition at Triton Museum this Saturday. Recently diagnosed with breast cancer, Grantz deals with personal narratives and intimate themes through large scale charcoal drawings. Several works within her exhibition pay homage to motherhood: a mother’s strength and the innate desire and need to nurture. Grantz won the Best in Show award at Triton’s 2022 Salon at the Triton. Her new show asks many poignant questions, leaving viewers to wonder and reflect on their own answers well after they leave the exhibition. Artist reception to follow on September 9th.
