Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are so ingrained in the culture that it’s simply the easiest way to describe a person with erratic mood shifts. But Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is deeper than a mild-mannered doctor whose experiments cause him to moonlight as a criminal. It’s an innately human story about the forces of good and evil that fight for dominance within everyone. In Silicon Valley Shakespeare’s production, Dr. Jekyll’s love for a woman motivates him to end his experiments. Is true love enough to inspire him to be good? A question many people ask themselves. The play runs till Aug. 30.
