A FOUNDING member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Elvin Bishop has been playing the blues for 45 years. Even though he’s better known for his 1976 song “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” (which made a weird comeback in the last Harold and Kumar movie), it’s the blues that originally drove him to start playing. His latest album, The Blues Roll On, showcases some of the biggest names in the genre, including B.B. King, James Cotten and George Thorogood. The man is a maniac on the guitar, and is known for high-energy shows in which he can’t, won’t and don’t stop.
