This spring, the Stanford Concert Network presents Blxst, a self-taught rapper, producer and singer from South Central LA. In 2022, Kendrick Lamar invited him to feature on “Die Hard,” which peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. But before this success, Blxst sold out his entire fall 2021 No Love Lost Tour in ten seconds, was selected as an Amazon Breakthrough Artist and was nominated for the BET Hip Hop Awards. His hooks and performances appear on a steady mountain of tracks, enough for the LA Times to declare him “leading the new wave of LA hip-hop.”
