There’s no better way to ring in the start of school than with some fuzzy, angsty, soulful, rocking alt-punk-pop music. Funny Face House evokes autumn, striped stockings, kissing under a neon light and the fun of being young and angry. Young people and graying ’90s punks will find this music joyful, tight, skilled and fresh. Opening is Joan and the Rivers (a great name to match their great sound) and Juniper, with a hard-to-describe-but-easy-to-love groove. Funny Face House and Joan and the Rivers are from San Jose, so it’s a perfect late summer night to see some beautiful punk and support local bands.

I’ve seen Funny Face and Joan live once. They really bring it. Don’t miss this one.
I seen them this one time and they were so good like butter.
