As the son of Phil Lesh (longtime bassist for the Grateful Dead), it’s no surprise that Grahame Lesh followed in his father’s musical footsteps with his band Midnight North. Now, he’s wrangled some of the best working musicians to form Grahame Lesh & Friends. Acting as an outlet for interpreting the music he has been surrounded by his entire life, Lesh & Friends spearhead the pursuit of finding and reviving old Grateful Dead songs while simultaneously injecting their sound with reworkings of old Midnight North numbers and original songs. Surely, this new outfit will effortlessly groove through rock, soul, folk and blues this weekend at the Guild Theatre.
