It’s time to stop hibernating, and there’s nothing like dancing to a hot beat all night to melt off the last wisps of winter. Pure Night Club will shake from the floor to the rafters this Saturday with Adam Jouneau, aka Habstrakt’s thrilling mix of EDM, bass and dubstep. Originally from Annecy in southeastern France, the celebrated producer and DJ has collaborated with Skrillex, Jauz and, for his most recent hit “Outer Space,” Roderick Porter. With legendary stages under his belt from Lollapalooza to the Ultra Music Festival, Habstrakt’s set to electrify Sunnyvale. (AM)

Addie Mahmassani is a poet based in Santa Cruz. She holds a PhD in American Studies from Rutgers University-Newark and is currently an MFA student in creative writing at San Jose State University. There, she is a Teaching Associate as well as the lead poetry editor of Reed Magazine, California's oldest literary journal. She also surfs, sings and loves a part-sheepdog named Lou.
