With Jeff Applebaum headlining Thursday night’s Home for the Holidays Showcase at Rooster T. Feathers, the ho ho ho’s will be unstoppable. The comedian made his national TV debut on CBS on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and appeared on Comics Unleashed and America’s Got Talent. A New Yorker now living with his family in California, Applebaum has received high praise for his recent special Nut. Free. Zone., in which he pokes fun at some of the double standards of his adopted home state. He also happens to be a tech entrepreneur with multiple degrees in engineering from MIT.

Addie Mahmassani is a poet based in Santa Cruz. She holds a PhD in American Studies from Rutgers University-Newark and is currently an MFA student in creative writing at San Jose State University. There, she is a Teaching Associate as well as the lead poetry editor of Reed Magazine, California's oldest literary journal. She also surfs, sings and loves a part-sheepdog named Lou.
