I was trying to read an instruction manual so I could program something new into our office printer, only to have my concentration repeatedly interrupted by your questions and reading-aloud of the same manual I was reading. I gave you a few clues to bugger off, such as “I know how to read” and “This will be easier when I’m not crowded,” yet you continued to hover over my shoulder, making it more and more difficult for me to concentrate on the manual. You irritated me so much that I finally snapped and said, “I don’t need your help,” to which your response was to sulk. I’m sorry I snapped, I should have tried one more time to find a polite way to get your to leave me alone, because you were well-meaning and young and have a lot to learn about what’s helpful and what’s not.
