Ivan Cornejo, second most consumed regional Mexican artist in the US, brings his earnest, folk-influenced corridos to San Jose. Born in Riverside, Ivan began posting to Tiktok at age 14 and went viral in 2021 with his ballad “Está Dañada.” By the time he signed with Interscope Records this summer (after being bidded over by major labels), the teen singer-songwriter had already sold out his Terapia Tour, or “therapy” tour. Much of his lyrics are pulled from his middle school heartbreak, yet his songs speak worldwide–as evidenced by the stadiums of fans singing along at each stop of the tour.
