Save for a five-year hiatus, the guitar duo Jack O’Neill and Cary Pierce has been making music as Jackopierce for three-plus decades. Their uncluttered and heartfelt folk styling employs acoustic guitar artistry and vocal harmonies. Jackopierce has amassed a substantial body of work, with nine studio albums, three live albums and a bounty of single releases. The duo has made occasional left turns toward a full band and flirted with electric sounds but inevitably returned to the unplugged, two-guitars-and-voices approach that won them a substantial and dedicated following.
