Despite the generic title, the Guild has gathered some of the finest musicians in the area to showcase one of America’s original art forms. The show will feature San Francisco Symphony’s Scott Pingel on bass and Ed Stephan on timpani or percussion. Two of the finest local jazz players, trumpeter Mike Olmos and Adam Shulman on piano, will be rounding out the show. Billed as a benefit concert, Jazz at the Guild will feature these top musicians musing together in a unique, one-time musical event. (TM)
