If there is a way to achieve maximum earthy groove while maintaining ethereality, bassist Jeff Denson and guitarist Romain Pilon have found it. They’ve brought the world-making drums of Scott Amendola into the mix, and music fans of the fair city of San Jose will soon lift off into the jazzosphere. The trio will be presenting their great new work, the album Finding Light. The music is somehow light-years ahead of its time but also wholly current and referential to history. Aside from that, the music is joyful, the musicians wildly talented, and one can tell how much fun they’re having together.
