Christmas is over. Valentine’s is meh. It’s time for St. Patrick’s Day! Okay, in all honesty, there are a few months to go, but that’s not stopping the Kavanaugh Brothers Celtic Experience from getting the tunes (and Jameson) flowing. The band proudly bills itself as “Celtic music with an attitude” and names the late Shane MacGowan (frontman of the punk band the Pogues) its patron saint. With eight members, they bring a boisterous mix of guitar, harmonica, whistle, mandolin, banjo, percussion and vocals to the stage. Irish rebel music is their bread and butter, with bluegrass and folk-rock favorites adding additional spirit.
