The Price Is Right
Richard von Busack is the best, but in his review of Barney’s Version (MetroFilm, Jan. 26), I believe he meant Dennis Price rather than Alec Guinness who blinked fatefully at the end of Kind Hearts and Coronets.

Richard von Busack Replies: He’s got me. The problem with ‘Kind Hearts and Coronets’ is that you tend to remember it as having a cast consisting of everyone played by Alec Guinness. Apologies, and thanks for the compliment.
Sit a Spell
Hello—there is a misspelling in Steve Palopoli’s article “Cadent Uncovered” (MetroMusic, Jan. 19). The guitarist’s name is Jonthan Baechler, not “Beachler.” Thank you!
Alexis Bernstein
No, thank you for double-checking, Alexis. You are right about the last name, but we’re pretty sure it’s ‘Jonathan,’ not ‘Jonthan.’ —Editor
Whose Diner?
I think Steve Palopoli does a lot of great music-related writing. But his promotion of the Suzanne Vega Trio (Metroactive, Jan. 26) said her 1987 album Solitude Standing broke the song “Tom’s Diner.” Actually, the big hit version of that song was not the a cappella version on Solitude Standing. It was the 1990 dance remix credited to “D.N.A. featuring Suzanne Vega.” It ended up on the remixes collection album Tom’s Album.
His promotion of Al Jarreau said he was probably best known for the Moonlighting theme. I think that’s true only if TV show familiarity trumps other factors. Jarreau’s songs “We’re in This Love Together” and “Mornin'” were bigger Billboard pop chart hits, and I’ve heard both of them much more on commercial radio, including from my old KTID playlists.
