This weekend, Pure Nightclub, known for having the hottest acts in Sunnyvale, hosts drill rapper Lil Tjay. Lil Tjay’s rise to fame came in 2017 when his two songs “Resume” and “Brothers” exploded on Soundcloud, garnering the rapper huge amounts of attention. Part of a wave of New York artists that have been popular since the early 2010’s, Lil Tjay’s sound can be compared to others from his scene, such as Bobby Shmurda, Pop Smoke or Lil baby, though Lil Tjay’s own version of it is very unique. He’s had a dramatic career surge since surviving being shot seven times in 2022, but expect the club to go crazy when Tjay performs “F.N,” “Sex Sounds,” and “Pop Out.”
