Some bands spend a lifetime rehearsing and fine-tuning their songs until they are showcases of harmonic perfection. Los Improviders, however, take a different approach. This collection of Bay Area musicians prefers to feel out the music on the spot, letting one member play a riff that leads into a swell of genre, melody and rhythm. Be it with bass, guitar, keys, drums or horns, Los Improviders follow unconventional riffs to their conclusion, finding a casual fusion of genre and approach in the process. They eschew formulas to let the muse of the moment decide the vibes. The result: a deliciously groovy exhibition for anyone within earshot.
