Underrated but eminently talented, Mark Geary has been releasing folk and indie wonders for nearly three decades. Born and raised as part of a large, seven-child family in Dublin, Ireland, Geary emigrated to New York City in 1992 with a one-way ticket after winning a green card lottery. In the East Village, he honed his craft at notable venues like the Sin-é Café alongside such names as Sinéad O’Connor, Katell Keineg and Jeff Buckley. Since then, he’s found success with his heartwarming, dulcet songs. Besides releasing five studio and three live albums, Geary’s music has appeared in over a dozen films and television shows like Bones and One Tree Hill.
