No group has elevated the Chinese hip-hop scene more than the Higher Brothers since they hit the virtual airwaves a few years ago. A pivotal force in the group is artist Masiwei. Blessed with a preternatural ability, Masiwei shines with a cultivated sense of rhythm and a unique, electrifying stage presence. Known for penning the lyrics to smash-hit songs like “R&B All Night” and “Made in China,” Masiwei also won the CMA 2021 Best Rap Album for Dark Horse. After its follow-up, Dark Horse Season, Masiwei took a two-year hiatus from music. Now, he’s back and eager to continue his exploration of the enchanting, adventurous Dark Horse themes with South Bay audiences.
