.Mean Girls: High School Version in San Jose

Children’s Musical Theater San Jose presents Mean Girls as it’s meant to be, with real teens front and center. A talented cast between 14-20 years old brings the high school ecosystem they know all too well to life in this musical adaptation of the beloved 2004 film written by Tina Fey. Songs like “Apex Predator” and “I’d Rather Be Me” add dimension (and hilarity) to the play’s coming-of-age themes surrounding kindness, friendship and identity. And there’s nothing as great as seeing kids play hapless parents! As Mrs. George (originally Amy Poehler) swears, “I’m not a regular mom. I’m a cool mom.” (AM)
