For a long time, the stand-up comedy world was almost entirely an old boys club where women didn’t feel welcome. Fortunately, all that has changed in the last decade or so, with great female comedians getting their rightful moment in the spotlight. Enter Megan Gailey, a wickedly funny and deceptively smart stand-up who transforms her life experiences into sly, sardonic and rewarding punchlines. Some might be fooled by her Valley Girl persona, but Gailey can hang with the best of them.
