CANVAS CRUISERS: Ed Hardy decorates his sneakers.

Style

Sneaker Attack

By Colleen Watson

THIS SPRING, sneakers are great for those breezy, cool casual days when a brisk walk beckons. Sneakers may not have the cachet of sky-scraping stiletto heels, but they are a lot more comfortable and still stylish. They can be easily paired with jeans or a pencil skirt.

It is possible to make a statement with the more flamboyant and decorated shoes, like the ones from tattoo artist Ed Hardy, which come in jewel tones or muted colors decorated with loud, tattoo-inspired graphics. JuicY COUTURE also offers some fun sneakers in many different colors and decorated with sequins or typography that bring visual interest to any outfit.

Of course, the classics like Converse and Vans always work. They come in a plethora of primary colors. Everyone should have at least one go-to pair in their closet, or maybe seven—one color for each day of the week.
