Michael A. Salter's giant, 21-foot-tall Styrobot, which nearly touches the roof in the upstairs gallery at the San Jose Museum of Art, is made entirely of recycled styrofoam packaging. It will stand guard over the museum's newest show, 'Robots: Evolution of a Cultural Icon,' featuring works about robots, robotics and humans by various artists.

The show opens April 12 at the Museum,

110 S. First St., San Jose.
