Police log two separate stabbings in three days Suspect apprehended in one incident, two more wanted in second Campbell--The Christmas spirit of peace and good will towards men seems to have missed several individuals involved in two unrelated stabbings in Campbell last week. No one was killed. On Dec. 25, a 24-year-old man from Saratoga was jumped by two suspects and stabbed in the chest while walking in the area of Connie Drive and Marilyn Drive. The suspects--who were described to police by the victim as two 21-year-old men, one Caucasian and the other Hispanic--fled immediately. The victim dragged himself to an apartment on Sharmon Palms Lane. Fifteen to 20 minutes later, the victim's two acquaintances called 911, asking for medical assistance because they could not stop the bleeding. The victim was transported to Valley Medical Center, where he was interviewed by police. According to Campbell Police Chief Dave Gullo, police recovered two knives at the apartment, but it was unclear whether the knives were connected to the stabbing. The victim did not know his attackers or have any idea why the suspects jumped him, he said. "The victim was unable to give us sufficient information about the suspects' identities," Gullo said. No arrests have been made. "Right now, we're still trying to figure out what happened," Gullo said. According to the police department's log, the stories about how the night unfolded told by the victim and his acquaintances matched. On Dec. 28, police received a call around 9 p.m. reporting a stabbing at L&F Market on Bucknall Road. According to Gullo, the 20-year-old victim got into an argument with the suspect, 26. Both live in San Jose. The suspect stabbed the victim in the left arm and fled. Police later apprehended the suspect later that night based on information received from the victim. Gullo said he did not know how many stabbings have occurred in Campbell since the beginning of 1999. However, he said that a fatal stabbing in January was the city's first homicide of the year.
